Saronni Red Colnago Superissimo, circa 1981. The Superissimos were distinctive in the use of Chromed head tube lugs and chrome dropouts. The paint is Saronni red, which is a deep candy laquer sprayed over a silver base. Components include tri-color pantographed brake calipers, Colnago pantographed tri-color brake levers, pantographed shifters, Super Record Colnago pantographed seat post. The crankset is a Super Record Mexico with milled spiders and Colnago pantographed chain ring. Headset is Campagnolo Super Record. Wheels are Colnago gold label Ambrosio tubular rims laced to Campagnolo Super Record hubs, with Regina Record Oro drilled chain, turning a Regina Oro freewheel. Stem is a black anodized Colnago pantographed 3ttt with 3ttt handlebars. Tires are Colnago labeled Clement tubulars. Seat is a Selle Concor. Weight of bike is just under 20lbs without pedals. Enjoy!
